Netport/XT
NETPORT provides the gateway to transfer DMX 512 data from Art-Net protocol (Art-DMX).
Art-Net is a 10 BaseT, 10MBaud Ethernet protocol using TCP/IP protocol.
The Internet Protocol address (IP) of each NETPORT is expressed in 2.255.255.255 format with
a 255.0.0.0 sub-net mask and is an identifier for any device on the network able to be working
in class A.
The unique IP address is fixed by the processor supplier and printed on the NETPORT rear panel.
For more details please refer to Art-Net communication protocol (Artistic Licence UK).
About 20 universes of DMX having 256 possible addresses are provided by one or more lighting
consoles. The address selection of each universe DMX can be selectable with 2*4 bits selector
switches on the rear.
NETPORT
NETPORT is able to extract 2 independent DMX universes A & B. These two DMX 512 universe
addresses are selected by using three rotary switches on the rear panel.
The 4 MSB is selected with a "Sub-Net address" switch giving a value for DMX A&B.
The 4 LSB switch is used to select both DMX 512 universes available on XLR DMX out A and B
connectors.
NETPORT XT
NETPORT XT combines in a single unit
- conversion of Art-DMX data (DMX over Ethernet) to two independent DMX universes A
and B (outputs)
- bi-directional interfacing between the ADB dimmer range (Advanced Dimmer Network)
and the Dimmer Manager PC (Ethernet network)
